The ManuREfinery and Rural BioReFarmeries projects are teaming up with the objective of using their similar goals and expertise to boost sustainable, circular solutions in Europe. This partnership is meant to help us reach more people, learn from each other and involve stakeholders in our common objectives.
Both projects, supported by the European Union under the Circular Bio-Based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), concentrate on giving value to agricultural residues, using bio-resources creatively and developing rural areas together. Recognising their common aims, the two consortia have agreed to coordinate their communication efforts and explore opportunities for joint action.
In April 2025, the communication teams of both projects met and decided on a series of cooperative actions, such as a shared calendar to align on events, fairs, and outreach activities and a joint workshop or event planned for the following year.
This collaboration lays the foundation for a more strategic alliance between the projects, potentially extending to the publication of shared policy briefs, co-hosting annual events, and organising thematic clusters that further the bioeconomy agenda.
As a team, we are making the European rural bioeconomy more sustainable and stronger.
