SLRT
Standing Liaison Round Table

Funded by the BBionets project, the Standing Liaison Round Table (SLRT) is a strategic platform that unites multiple EU-funded projects operating under one common goal: to drive greater innovation and sustainable resource management for a stronger circular bioeconomy in Europe. The ethos of this initiative is to move past one-on-one partnerships and instead focus on fostering cross-project collaboration by blending diverse expertise, promoting joint activities and helping project members align on a collective long-term roadmap and strategy.
Rural BioReFarmeries is a proud member of the SLRT platform since January 2025.
Other Networks
Collaboration is key: this is why Rural BioReFarmeries cooperate with well-known platforms and networks that share its vision. Aligning with international players in operating across the entire bio-based ecosystem allows the project to combine resources and expertise, which fosters knowledge exchange, strengthens alliances, and drives the creation of innovative solutions across the bioeconomy.
RBA
Rural Bioeconomy Alliance

The Rural Bioeconomy Alliance (RBA) was officially launched in May 2023 as a cluster of European-funded projects accelerating and supporting the development of a rural sustainable circular bioeconomy in the EU. Having started originally with 11 project members, the RBA has now grown into a solidified community of over 50 EU-funded initiatives which benefit from the alliance’s support and wide pool of interdisciplinary expertise. Their main goals are to foster collaboration, share success stories and best practices, increase the adoption of circular bioeconomy concepts, and support communication and dissemination activities.
Rural BioReFarmeries joined the Rural Bioeconomy Alliance in March 2025.
EuBioNet
The European Bioeconomy Network

Launched in May 2018, the European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet) is a proactive alliance of EU funded projects dealing with Bioeconomy promotion, communication and support, originally set up by the Transition2Bio project. The main goal is to maximise the efforts, increasing the knowledge sharing, networking, mutual learning, coordination of joint activities and events.
Rural BioReFarmeries joined EuBioNet in March 2026 as a member of this Network that counts with nearly 160 formal partners.
Bilateral collaborations
Rural BioRefarmeries collaborates with the following initiatives and EU-Funded projects, forming a strategic network crucial for pooling diverse expertise and resources. This concerted approach promotes vital knowledge exchange, accelerates the development of innovative, scalable biorefinery solutions, and ensures that EU-funded efforts collectively deliver greater, more transformative progress for rural communities.
ManuREfinery
Smart modular biorefining of manure: zero-waste, maximizing resource and nutrient recovery for feed and fertilizer

ManuREfinery is a CBE JU-funded project aiming to develop smart, modular and mobile biorefineries to convert livestock manure into bio-based feed and fertilizers, and in turn help to reduce environmental impact and improve circularity in the EU livestock sector. The project will demonstrate its scalable solution on pig, cow and poultry farms in Romania, Spain and Slovenia, creating new value chains and business models for sustainable bioeconomy.
NUTRI-CHECK NET
The NUTRI-CHECK NET work to maximise site-specific precision in managing the nutrition of European arable crops

NUTRI-CHECK NET is an initiative jointly funded by the European Union and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to establish a self-sustaining, multi-actor, thematic network that builds farm-level adoption of best field-specific nutrient management practices across Europe. Comprised of 26 Crop Nutrition Clubs and 9 National Expert Groups, the network aims to improve the precision of crop nutrition by compiling nutrition decision tools, promoting farm-by-farm nutrient checking, and facilitating knowledge exchange amongst all relevant stakeholders. Check the Memorandum of Collaboration between Rural BioReFarmeries & NUTRI-CHECK NET to find out more about how both projects will support each others’ missions.
